About Us

TJ Burns is the founder of Burns Capital Partners, a co-founder of Zendra Lending, and a partner at DeMok Capital. He oversees all aspects of our multifamily and private lending funds, from capital raising and investor relations to underwriting, loan operations, and asset management.

TJ started investing in single-family and small multifamily properties while working as a senior engineer at Amazon, and founded Burns Capital Partners in 2022 to bring that work to outside investors. Today the platform spans multifamily equity through NH Multifamily Fund III, private credit through DeMok Income Fund I, and direct lending through Zendra Lending, which finances fix-and-flip, ground-up construction, and bridge deals for real estate investors.

He runs the business the way he built products: small teams, heavy automation, and systems that do the work of a much larger firm.

Before going full-time into real estate, TJ led mechanical product design at Blink by Amazon. He's an inventor on 20+ design patents, and his products have shipped to tens of millions of households worldwide. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from MIT and lives in the NYC suburbs with his wife and son.
